You're right, one doesn't want more excerpts, but having the whole performance, maybe they selected the best fragments, but I believe that it's the whole work what gives the real deal.I've checked the link, in those discs there are very interest...

Almost one year passed since I first saw these pictures and quite frequently I've been thinking about the question. Some pieces were quite close, but not entirely like that. Some Bach... even Wagner, but not really. Finally today I've listened t...

It's a pity that the pieces are just fragments, I wish they were the whole performances. Some of them are just unbelieveable. I wonder how modern engineers could forget that things made simple and easy sound more like music. These mp3 convey more emo...

Did you score the full 200 CD collection:
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00002EITP.01._SCMZZZZZZZ_.jpgor just the Gavrilov 2 CD set?I've been wondering if the whole set is worth the price. Individual sets are very difficult to find, I tried to g...

Hi Romy,I've never listened to a Shelter, but for what I know about it from your comments (none but I believe I've got an idea about its way to make music regarding you goals) I thought it was it.Sure, listening to those performances in your system w...

Hi Romy,I knew that my asking about the cart used would make you to write the kind of comment you've done. What I've enjoyed most and exclusively of the disc has been the music, all are terrific pieces and some, like the Kodaly, Kalman and S...

Hi pals,I've come back from work and the CD was into my mailbox. It's in perfect shape. I'll listen to it later as respectfully as it deserves, the selection looks very interesting. By the way, I got the Mahler's second you included ;-) it arriv...

I know my posts haven't been very helpful and useful for the knowledge tree, but they've been for getting the CD, so I'm very glad and thankful.Rgrds,A...

Did you manage to listen the 90x? Do you think those performance differences have any influence on the music in your system?...

building a preamp based in the same tube you're using on the Melquiades and results aren't what you expected. Have you?I wish I knew how to do it, I'd love receiving a compilation of your favourite music. Anyway, why do you think you'll get better re...

would be finding midbass and midrange drivers with a similar character which allowed a good integration between them. Once I knew the drivers I might desing the horn (glubs, not so easy) and ask a skilled professional to build it for me, not impossib...

INTEGRATION that's the clue and that's what I always feel lacks in my room, I mean extreme integration, real integration, the feeling that the recorded bass sound has its own boundaries, not my room's. So you said, midbass horns?OK, let's g...

half the size (in length and width, so actually a quarter the size in extension) of that room for my crappy system. For me that's not an average living room. Those horns would never fit mine, not even the Avantgarde duos would.Regards....

you've finally rested because you've got it right ;-)Regards....

Benedetti playing the WTC? That had been great, really great :-)Rgrds....

Thanks Romy, I'm getting one of those renditions by Carlos. Any better sounding, or most remarcable edition? You should post some day your preferences/obsessions about conductors making great works of specific composers. I mean something like "I gener...

but I didn't expect your favourite 5th was Carlos Kleiber's. I don't know it and should.Have you listened to a quite new Toscanini's set which has been sonically restored?http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B0000CNTLU.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpgIt's an RCA Red ...

3rd, 5th and 6th?Lately I've been listening to Savall's 3rd it's interesting but I like better the Karajan's.Rgrds....

The ninth on that set is my favourite rendition, I like it better than the acclaimed Furtwangler's, but I suspect I should listen to many other ones.......

give birth to spotted animals, ha ha ha. Maybe I'm too rationalist and I hardly can see how to get a result which you imagine should exist but you don't know. Anyway you did and you're happy, so it might be feasible ;-)Regards....

but I guess where you lead up to....Rgrds,AJ...

before knowing if it was achievable? As far as the result is concerned, one can work onto a result if knows it is attainable and the effort will yield a profit. I mean that for instance I may want to have full 20Hz-20Khz response in my room...

I'd think you're raving your last toy in the same way "audio people" do at other forums ;-)I'm still puzzling my mind about how can the damn thing sound and which are its "sound features" explaining its musical behaviour. Nothing would make me happie...

What a pity, I hoped you had one of those SPD rooms at home ;-)I still think that some things could be explainable, but I guess it would be as explaining a blind person how different is a good photo of a nude woman from having that real woman in...

On one hand we have that "evolved music reproduction" is something that one achieves as an act of inner growth and by having established some goals or intentions which if resolved, can offer a different musical reproduction from the commercial audiop...

I disagree, Antonio. I feel that if that “Stressed Playback Demonstration” be conducted then a listener should not even be aware neither what components-topology were used nor what kind principles were utilized to accompl...

That such ideal bussiness is open and I go there to pay a listen to an "out of parameters" system which really enlightens myself about what can be obtained with audio. The questions come later. How can I get the devices to set up a sys...

***********Yes, WE most defiantly should. However, we are still in process of learning how to get the best of it (for instant something “huge” was learned .... today) When everything will be mentally settled down I do not see any reasons why the info...

*********** From here, read carefuly because it is important ***********
The positions of the instruments are an arteffect of sound reproduction and in real "live" you do not recognize the instruments positioni...

Thanks for the comments. I believe that a preamp giving the same kind of benefits of Melquiades and being able to deliver them with any power amp and speakers would be something truly great. I know it won't be the same than the amps, but probably som...
